Fall Wonders

What do you like about fall? One of my favorite things is how I can REALLY see the trees--the shapes, the nests, and other exciting things they might be hiding. It wasn't until the leaves started falling until we noticed a large bald faced hornet's nest in one of our maple trees. While these are fairly common, it's still fun to find one as they are proof of insect life around us. The Indiana Woodland Steward answers some questions on these nests here.

What do you like about fall? I know my cousins like hunting and spending that quiet time waiting for a shot. Today, I noticed a flock of birds flying in V formation--there's nothing like seeing this in person each fall.
