Open Play and Story Time at Woodlawn Nature Center

Friday morning, we tried out the Open Play and Story Time at Woodlawn Nature Center. All the regular exhibits (dinosaur cave, wigwam, sandcastle and shells, fish and turtle, drums, birds and nests, insects, etc.) were open plus a few winter activities . . . but it didn't really feel like winter! There were sensory activities and fine motor skill training.

Puppets . . . it was great to see the moms and children acting out stories together.

Snowball sorts and winter nature hike materials . . .

And a little dinosaur play!

We also checked out the Wildlife Viewing Window and watched the squirrels interacting and a few birds. This is truly a place to PLAY and LEARN! More Open Play and Story Times are coming up.

All times are 10 am to noon. Story time takes place around 10:30. It is $2/child or free for members.

Upcoming dates:
January 25th
February 8th
February 22nd
March 8th
March 22nd
